Certificate of Conformity
A Certificate of Conformity is a certificate that states an item of in-scope electrical equipment risk Level 3 meets the relevant standard. This is in terms of a certificate issued under EESS Law.
A Certificate of Conformity is a statement of meeting EESS requirements via an independent review of evidence of compliance to the relevant standard, any other requirements or any information notices or guidance documents issued by EESS regulators and includes a review and determination that the equipment listed on the certificate is electrically safe. A certificate of conformity is required for level 3 equipment before the item can be registered on the EESS platform.
A Responsible Supplier is required to hold or have access to a Certificate of Conformity for each electrical equipment type or family of in-scope electrical equipment risk Level 3 that it offers for sale.
